Natalie Lawrence
As a child I always dreamed of having my own horse and spent hours helping out at the local riding school just to ‘be’ with horses and earn that elusive ‘free ride’! I went on to loan other peoples horses but still dreamed of having my own. I finally realised my dream in my late 20’s with my horse India.
As with many people, my dream quickly turned into a nightmare. Indy was dominant (with other horses and people), would kick / bite (again, with other horses & people!), wouldn’t be caught, wouldn’t load, jumped like a bullet and bolted when we rode out. I very quickly lost my confidence and became terrified of my horse.
I had no solutions and looked to ‘professionals’ to provide them. Things went from bad to worse and before too long the only advice I was getting was ‘The best thing for your horse is a bullet’!
I was destroyed … but then I found Parelli.
Parelli has enabled me to finally live my dream with horses. Through understanding the psychology of a horse, Parelli has given me the arrows and strategies I need to work with my horse’s nature, not against it. Tears and frustration are now a thing of the past and have been replaced with a relationship I never thought possible.
My goal as an Instructor is to empower people with their horses and enable them to look inside themselves for the savvy arrows and strategies they need. To realise that, once you truly embrace “love, language and leadership” your world and your horses opens up and the possibilities are endless.

I have been following the Parelli program since 2004 & have been lucky enough to have studied with Sally Brett, Ruth Carlisle, Jackie Chant, Alison Jones, David Lichman, Kaffa Martignier, Terri Martinus, Rachel Morland, Jarno De Smet and Carmen Smith. I would love to share the knowledge and understanding I have gained from this experience and help you achieve your horsemanship dreams.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
I look forward to meeting you and your equine partner on this fabulous journey!
Liz Ward-Holmes testimonial
"My idea of a good teacher is someone who comes with a plan but can change it as needed and who can explain things in a simple practical way that makes it easy to succeed. After that I like to have a couple of achievable things to work on between lessons so that my time with my horse has some purpose to it which makes it more enjoyable for both of us. Natalie does all this and manages to make it great fun - so much so that neither my horse nor I wanted the lesson to end."
